Join triple winner of the Tour de France’s green jersey classification and 12 stage wins, Robbie McEwen, on a ride along the picturesque coastal route of the iconic Northern Beaches of Sydney from Manly to Church Point. Enjoy a wonderful Spring bicycle ride in a collective quest to support a healthy lifestyle.

The 40.2 km chaperoned ride heads north with a series of smaller climbs and descents. The highest climb reaches 54m above sea level and the gradient of climbs rarely exceeds 8%. Beautiful ocean views are the highlight of this event as the route travels through Freshwater Beach, Dee Why Beach, see the Dee Why Lagoon, Collaroy Beach and then past Narrabean Head.

Upon returning to Manly you will enjoy an intimate sit down lunch and QA session with, one of Australia’s greatest ever road sprinters, Robbie McEwen. Have your questions ready and enjoy the camaraderie and banter.

Hosted by the RACGP and Entoure Cycle Event Management, this fully supported ride will depart Manly on Tuesday 24 October – the day prior to the opening of GP17. Arrive at 8.00 am near café Pilu for a strict 9.00 am departure.

While enjoying the educational benefits of the GP17 conference, why not also enjoy the health benefits of sunshine, the beach and exercise. It’s a great way to meet and mingle with like-minded GPs.

Whether you are a local rider or an interstate visitor, this is a unique experience you will not want to miss.

This event is exclusively sponsored by The Doctors’ Health Fund – the only health fund that was created exclusively for the medical community, so they understand your needs including greater peace of mind with coverage up to 95% of the medical gap and affordable, competitive prices.  For more information how the Doctors’ Health Fund may assist you visit www.doctorshealthfund.com.au or visit their stand at the GP17 conference, (stand number 155) and they will be happy to assist you.
